Palmer Package
The Palmer Package is a variety of techniques taught at the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa, the birthplace of chiropractic in 1895. It is a set of adjusting tools that equip chiropractors with what they need to help just about any spinal problem.
The main techniques include:
Diversified: An analysis of your spine is performed to identify the malposition of one or more spinal bones. Then, a specific manual thrust is administered, based on experience, practice and a thorough understanding of spinal mechanics.
Thompson: This technique is both a system of chiropractic analysis and a way to minimize the amount of energy needed to adjust the spine using a special table with drop-away sections.
Gonstead: A small heat-sensing instrument and full spinal x-rays may be used to reveal subluxation patterns in the spine. Lower spine and pelvic adjustments are performed as you lie on your side. Subluxations in the middle back are corrected as you assume a comfortable kneeling position. When you’re seated, we can restore the integrity of your spine without twisting or rotating your neck.

ProAdjuster
If you feel anxious about manual adjustments or if you have a condition that makes you more sensitive to sudden twisting movements, you can still receive the benefits of chiropractic care without a manual adjustment. The ProAdjuster combines traditional chiropractic understanding with sophisticated technology to allow for a gentle, safe manipulation. It gently prods the body into alignment to facilitate proper spinal function.
The ProAdjuster is used to precisely identify and treat nervous system problems by gently analyzing the spine to determine if specific vertebrae move too fluidly or too rigidly. Once the ProAdjuster detects the rigid joints, it uses a gently oscillating force to manipulate only the abnormal areas, releasing nerve pressure and reducing pain.
Activator
The Activator Method chiropractic technique uses a spring-loaded, hand-held mechanical instrument called the Activator adjusting instrument. This instrument allows chiropractors to provide a quick, low-force impulse at specific points.

There are two theoretical advantages of an Activator instrument-assisted treatment:

High speed: The instrument is so quick that the body's muscles are less likely to tense in response, and resist the treatment. The lack of muscle resistance may facilitate the treatment’s effectiveness.
Controlled force: The applied force is localized and does not put the joint in any compromised positions, such as bending or twisting.
Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT)
Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT) is a chiropractic technique designed to reduce or eliminate pain or disorders in the craniospinal, TMJ, head, neck, back and pelvis, extremities (foot, ankle, knee, and hip as well as hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder) and in specific cases improve organ function.
SOT categorizes human structures based on specific patterns of imbalance. By generalizing patients into three categories SOT determines three identifiable, yet interrelated, systems of body reaction. Through the use of specific indicators, location and correction of these body patterns a system of before and after treatment tests can be applied to evaluate need for care and whether the care was successful.

SOT offers very specific methods that are effective and specific for each individual patient’s needs. Each patient is treated individually and in some instances other SOT methods are needed to improve function of organs (CMRT – chiropractic manipulative reflex technique), cranial bone and TMJ (jaw), and foot, ankle, knee, hip as well as hand, wrist, elbow, shoulder function.
Erchonia FX635 Cold Laser
The FX 635 uses low-level laser technology and patented laser diode arms to precisely target pain centers. It reduces inflammation while promoting bio-stimulation at a cellular level in the musculoskeletal point of the pain’s origination. Unlike other lasers that are too strong and unreliable — and produce unwanted heat — the FX 635 is fully compliant with ISO 13485 Medical Device Quality and IEC 60825-1 Laser Safety and is FDA market cleared.
Low-level laser treatment for pain can supplement other traditional treatments for the condition, such as chiropractic or massage/muscle stimulation. The FX 635 is equipped with the highly accurate positioning of its laser diode arms . allowing it to work on the precise location of the pain’s origin. Unlike prescription medications that can have harmful side effects on other organs in the body, the FX 635’s ability to precisely target and treat pain centers means the only action that occurs during treatment is the painless bio-stimulation of the affected areas. This, in turn, leaves the patient’s body better able to recover and return to an active lifestyle.
The FX 635 is a drug-free, non-invasive option for pain treatment and can even be a viable option to surgery. Low-level laser therapy provides a far less physically intrusive option for lower back pain relief. In addition, without the recuperation period associated with post-surgery recovery, the FX 635 allows patients to feel comfort and relief much faster than they do during the often painful and long recovery period associated with surgery.
The FX 635 can also relieve the pain and inflammation of the heel associated with plantar fasciitis. The regenerative powers of this low level laser technology can reduce inflammation and eliminate pain in the plantar fascia in only a matter of weeks, so you can return to an active life once again.
Massage Therapy
While a chiropractor adjusts the spine, neck, and other musculoskeletal systems, a massage therapist manipulates muscles and soft tissue. When the spine is properly aligned, the body is better able to heal itself. Regular chiropractic adjustments can reduce joint restriction and inflammation, increase mobility, improve the function of your nervous system, and reduce pain. By realigning your joints, chiropractic adjustments also help the soft tissues manipulated during your massage heal quicker.
By integrating massage therapy with routine chiropractic care, you’ll also experience:
-
Improved nervous system’s functioning
-
Reduced inflammation in your body
-
Increased blood flow and circulation
-
Increased flexibility and range of motion
Whether massage is your way to relax and recharge or it’s part of your chiropractic treatment plan, our massage therapy services will naturally improve your overall health and well-being.
